Planting Scented Geraniums

You can sow your seeds or cuttings either indoors or outdoors after the last frost. If you grow potted geraniums, choose containers that are about 10 inches in diameter so that your plants have ample room to grow. Don't overwater your plants. Pinch growing tips in early stages to encourage side branching and remove flowers once they begin to fade to encourage more blooming. Fertilize your geraniums 2-3 times a year. Geraniums often do not overwinter well, but you can save cuttings uproot the entire plant and hang it in a cool cellar during the fall for next spring.
